Coverage of JSW in particular continued in detail for months in several magazines, as readers (many of whom were hackers or programmers in those days) took great delight in finding new 'pokes' to make the games do unexpected things.
All told, there are now several dozen new JSW games, most or all of which can be found at the JSW Remakes site; I'm afraid I haven't really kept track of them, as I seem to have got JSW out of my system for the time being.
JSW is 'one of those games': if you are of an age to have played it when it was originally released, you're likely to remember it fondly today.

Although Matthew Smith produced only a handful of games during his short career as a programmer of Spectrum games, two of these happened to be arguably the most famous and influential games ever released on the Spectrum - Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy.
He took Manic Miner with him and it was republished by his new publishers, although this caused a fair amount of legal arguments.
His first and only game for Software Projects, Jet Set Willy, was a sequel to Manic Miner and proved an enormous success.
