  Testing The Avro Jetliner
We took the Jetliner to Hughes Aircraft in California with the idea of their using the aircraft as a test bed, because of course they could pop up to thirty thousand feet in a few minutes in pressurized comfort - a very fine test bed for them.
Once the Jetliner was back in Toronto in late 1952, all serious work on the aircraft ended, but I was surprised when I looked in my log book to find out how long it went on flying.
On another occasion, with Mike flying the Jetliner on a stability test, we had large water tanks forward and aft in the cabin with a pumping system so one could, by pumping the water from tank to tank, change the cg for certification work.

Jetliner Safety - How Airplanes Fly
A typical jetliner has wings, a fuselage, and an empennage with horizontal and vertical stabilizers.
To maneuver, a jetliner uses control surfaces attached to its wings and tail.
Jetliner wings have leading and trailing edge devices (slats and flaps) that extend during takeoffs and landings (low speed flight) and retract for cruise (high speed flight).

 NOVA | Crash of Flight 111 | Anatomy of a Jetliner (non-Flash) | PBS
Modern jetliners bristle with complex communications equipment, allowing the crew to keep in touch with what's happening elsewhere in the air and on the ground.
A network of tubes distributed throughout the jetliner contains pressurized liquid that, through hydraulics, powers the retraction and extension of landing gear, the opening and closing of exterior doors and hatches, and the movements of flight controls such as the rudder and elevators served by the hydraulic actuator seen here.
Even small amounts of ice on a jetliner's airframe or wings can reduce its lift and hinder the flight crew's ability to control the aircraft, so removal (de-icing) and prevention (anti-icing) of frost, ice, or snow accumulation on the airplane is critical.

Howard Hughes was so impressed with the Jetliner that he wanted to manufacture it under license at Convair and using it on TWA routes, but the U.S. government would not agree to Convair devoting effort and spce to a civil project in view of the Korean crisis.
The Jetliner never did go into comercial use but was used as the aerial survey and photo platform for the CF-100 project, as orders were never placed, construction on the partially built secont prototype was abandoned.
On 10 December 1956 the Jetliner was ordered distroyed, and after contacting the National Aviation Museum turned up no interest in obtaining the aircraft due to a lack of space, the Jetliner was cut up on the 13th of December 1956 with only the cockpit section surviving (in the Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa).

 Avro Jetliner
TWA were trying to get Avro to build them 30 Jetliners and the USAF had allocated funds for the purchase of 20 military Jetliners for jet bomber pilot and navigation training.
After a number of years of flying in support of the CF 100 flight test program the only Jetliner was finally broken up for scrap in December 1956 after more than seven years of almost faultless flying and paving the way for the new generation of jet transports.
Despite its premature demise the Jetliner brought respect and admiration for Canada's aviation capability and this was expressed very well by British aviation writer Bill Gunston in his book "Encyclopedia of commercial aircraft." which included this quote " The Avro Canada C 102 Jetliner was Canada's first jetliner.

Jetliner is the latest project by singer Adam Paskowitz (Mozart, The Flys).

The Avro C102 Jetliner was a Canadian prototype medium-range jet airliner built by Avro Canada in 1949.
The Jetliner was later used as the aerial photo platform for the CF-100 project.
On 10 December 1956, the Jetliner was ordered surplused, and although it was donated to the National Research Council, they had no room for it in storage and took only the nose section for cockpit layout design.

 melodic.net: Jetliner - Space Station
Jetliner is one of the most exciting new bands to walk the face of the earth on this side of the century, their stunning debut took me to new dimensions when it comes to melodic pop/rock.
Nothing bad about that,I like guitars and lots of harmony vocals which Jetliner really delivers big time........but let me just say it this way - Space Station has a few pearls that truly are better as songs than the best ones on the first album but as a whole album I prefer the debut.
I think the Queen sounding "The reaction" reminds just too much of "Tie your mother down",the pianobased "Keep'n on" has some more vibes a la the debut but not with the same classy chorus and the rocker "Steamroller" sure is a perfect song for the stage but it doesn't belong on a studio album.

While the December 1953 crash of G-ALYV was not the first incident involving the Comet, it was the first that would be blamed on a fatal error in the aircraft's design.
With the hostilities ended, England was faced with rebuilding its economy and repairing the damage inflicted by years of German aerial bombardment and missile attacks.
There were already a number of military jet aircraft, including heavy bombers, being designed and de Havilland saw an opportunity to combine jets and passenger aircraft to create a new, faster jetliner and gain a vitally needed source of foreign sales.

 9-11 Research:
After the explosion, there were few signs of the 60 tons of metal comprising the 757, leading many to speculate that the Pentagon was struck by something entirely different than a jetliner.
On 9/11/01 the Pentagon was attacked by a jetliner which was supposedly Flight 77.
However, the overwhelming support among eyewitness reports for the idea that a twin-engine jetliner crashed into the Pentagon suggests a different answer: perhaps the perpetrators suppressed the evidence to feed the no-Boeing theory in order to divide and discredit the skeptics.

Indeed, there is no doubt that the creation of aircraft like the Jetliner helped to bring mankind into an age of "air supremacy." In fact, the Jetliner alone bears the distinction of being North America's first jet transport.
During 1950-51 the Jetliner established several intercity flight records and became a brilliant success in the commercial transport field.
But perhaps most important, the Avro Canada C-102 Jetliner will best be remembered as the true impetus for succeeding passenger/cargo carrying jet aircraft in Canada's marvelous history of aviation.
