  Jhonen Vasquez
Jhonen Vasquez (born September 1, 1974) is a comic book artist, director, and writer from San Jose, California.
Jhonen Vasquez's cartoon artwork often portrays misanthropic and pessimistic philosophies as well as gothic and even satanic undertones, although the more "spooky" elements are used for the purpose of parody and satire.
Jhonen said that he would procrastanate the cartoon until only hours before the deadline and then rush through and did whatever he could in a finite time.

After a two year hiatus from the character, Vasquez revitalized the lonely rabbit in the third issue, with apparent improvements in the art.

Squee's Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors by Jhonen Vasquez, ISBN: 0943151244
Jhonen Vasquez writes distubed comics...but they are so funny.
Squee is a precursor to Invader Zim, and even has some of the same characters in it (the moronic aliens, the evil elementary school teacher, etc.), and in Invader Zim these characters and jokes seem much more fleshed out and far more entertaining than in Squee's Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors.
While Jhonen's previous work in JTHM was philosophical and thought-provoking (albeit, in a very messy way), Squee seems to have been created almost entirely for entertainment value.

THE BEAT » Blog Archive » New Jhonen Vazquez book!
SLG announced the impending July 2007 release of Jellyfist, a new work of collaborative nonsense by Jhonen Vasquez (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac) and J.R. Goldberg, a comic that is quite possibly like nothing that heretofore has been seen in the universe.
Begun as a simple, spontaneous collaboration when Vasquez wrote “a tiny, incredibly vague surreal script” and gave it to Goldberg to draw, Jellyfist soon grew into a side-show-freak embodiment of the issues that arise when one artist tries to draw what another has envisioned.
Conversations between Vasquez and Goldberg run at the edge of each of the comics, reproducing interactions that usually remain behind the panels.
