The Examiner - Sport From Ireland - 10, December, 1999
Boylan received his award from Minister for Sport and Tourism, Dr Jim McDaid, in the presence of Mr Cel O’Reilly, MD Philips Ireland Ltd and a host of sporting personalities.
Boylan, and particularly Cork, will remember ’87, ’88 and ’99 and the Dunboyne Herbalist, who likes to fly aeroplanes as a hobby, will probably find it ironic that he has again put one over on Cork in the shape of Barry Murphy.
Boylan stands out as a man apart, both on and of the field.

Boylan: I thank my party Leader and Deputies Noonan and Jim Higgins for the opportunity to speak about the outrage of the honest decent people at this appointment.
To paraphrase the late Jim Kemmy, the Tánaiste was Mighty Mouse last year but looks very like Mickey Mouse this year.
When the Progressive Democrats were founded under the leadership of Deputy O'Malley they had a sense of moral purpose and the necessary sense of moral outrage to accompany it.

 Terence Boylan Reviews
Although it is Boylan's voice and the lyrics that dominate the album, the quality of musicians propels the instrumentation into the superior range, far outdistancing most of the music heard on similar mood albums.
It is no surprise that Boylan's first record is as good as it is. His history includes a pilgrimage to meet Bob Dylan and play in Greenwich Village; leading a local band that included the later founders of Steely Dan, and making a musical comedy record with his producer-brother in 1968.
Considering the drought of talented new bands and vocalists in the last few years it is especially pleasant to run across a talented and tasteful musician new to the rock scene.

It's a nice, pure pop treatment of Boylan's "Shake It," that gave Matthews his first Top 40 hit in over seven years (number 13), but it's a pair of pre-rock and roll numbers that are responsible for two of Stealin' Home's most inspired moments.
Once again he chooses a handful of good covers, including songs by Robert Palmer, John Martyn, and Terence Boylan, to round out and complement his own material.

Amazon.com: Still Life: Music: The Connells
While Still Life may not pack in quite as many unforgettable hooks as their two masterpieces from a decade ago (Boylan Heights and Fun and Games), there are enough catchy tunes here to make the album one of the year's clear stand-outs.
Still Life is produced by Grammy-winner Jim Scott (Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones), and the kaleidoscopic sound is crisp, clear and catchy.
The Connells are one of the best bands in the country and Still Life assures they still have it.

FINTONA CYCLING CLUB CREDIT UNION GRAND PRIX RACE REPORT
Fintona Cycling Club's 2004 Credit Union Grand Prix saw constant attacking from the drop of the flag, with East Antrim's Jim McConnell coming out as victor at the end of the 42 miles race.
These two remained out in front over several other small groups on the road as the riders approached 'Sionfinn' for the second time, Boylan's effort to get across to McConnell had taking its toll however and he dropped and faded badly on the category 1 climb.
Fintona Cycling Club would like to thank everyone who helped ensure the event was a success, including Fintona Credit Union, Costcutters of Omagh, B9 Energy/RES, the marshals, First Aid, and lead cars, as well as the Ecclesville centre for the use of their facilities, and the race commissaire.
