Gilliam made his debut with the Dodgers in 1953 and earned National League Rookie of the Year honors as well as The Sporting News Rookie of the Year Award.
Gilliam went on to star with the team in Brooklyn, New York as well as after their 1958 move to Los Angeles, California.
Gilliam retired in 1966 after fourteen seasons in the major leagues, all with the Dodgers.

The cover is loose and separated at the spine and there's a light water stain on the bottom of the pages.
This yearbook is in superb condition with a very light water stain in the upper right corner and border tears on two pages the only flaws.
The Dodgers are defending World Champions and have Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Johnny Podres, Willie Davis, Jim Gilliam, Frank Howard, Maury Wills and Tommy Davis.
