You also had your precinct, that is in the town limits of Matthews, split in half; half in Gulley’s district and the other half in a district that is in the city of Charlotte.
I beat you in your precinct by 100 votes in 2002 and had earned 39 percent of the vote of a district that you had redrawn before, reducing the registered Republican voters to less than 27 percent.
Your half precinct belongs with the rest of the Matthews citizenry, but that would mean that you would have to face JimGulley.
