  James Inhofe - dKosopedia
Inhofe is one of the most conservative members of either house of Congress; among other political stances, he strongly opposes abortion and is a critic of gay rights.
Inhofe outraged federal employees on the day of the Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building by stating on National television that there probably weren't very many casualties because federal employees wouldn't be at their desks at 9:00 instead they would be off having coffee somewhere.
Inhofe also states that, "satellite data, confirmed by NOAA balloon measurements, confirms that no meaningful warming has occurred over the last century" and claimed that his conclusion was supported by the "painstaking work of the nation's top climate scientists." [3].

AlterNet: Not On Our Side The Right Blames God and Bush for 9/11?
In a speech to the Senate, Sen. James Inhofe said that Israel is "entitled" to the West Bank and chastised those within the U.S. who have urged Israeli restraint.
Inhofe is clearly suggesting the United States was punished because the Bush Administration and, I suppose, previous administrations had not been more supportive of Israel.
Inhofe's remarks are reminiscent of the ravings uttered by Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson days after the awful attacks.

Inhofe did not mince words when it was his turn at the committee's microphone.
What Inhofe's comments reflect is the belief that, in the aftermath of Sept. 11, America is entitled to play by its own rules, heedless of worldwide public sentiment.
It might be tempting to dismiss Inhofe as a firebrand outside the political mainstream whose views are not shared by either the Bush administration or the Democratic Party.

Senator James Inhofe is a dangerous idiot
Inhofe is the kind of person who doesn't belong in elected office because he's both ignorant and dangerous.
Inhofe did his best to paint Hormel's sex life as salacious, but when his own staff was caught having downloaded massive amounts of pornography onto their official Senate computers, Inhofe suddenly said he wouldn't comment "in deference to legitimate privacy concerns."
Inhofe's major goals as a senator are to insert his fundamentalist religion throughout the US government, and to make sure the US military attacks any country that interferes with his idea of a Christian world.

INHOFE: I am also outraged that we have so many humanitarian do- gooders right now crawling all over these prisons looking for human rights violations while our troops, our heroes, are fighting and dying, and I just don't think we can take seven -- seven bad people.
And the difficulty in the command influence piece is that, should General Sanchez or should I or General Abizaid say something along the lines that, "We must take this action against these individuals," then that is command influence down the line that those that are making judgment on them would influence and bias their decisions.
I also share my shock and dismay that Senator Inhofe mentioned in the fact that the unfortunate situation at Abu Ghraib prison is actually being used as a fund-raiser by the Kerry campaign.

WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) today reintroduced legislation in the Senate which Congressman Jim Gibbons (R-Nev.) reintroduced earlier this month in the House of Representatives to increase the mandatory retirement age for commercial airline pilots.
Senator Inhofe’s “Age 65 Act” (S.65) and Congressman Gibbons’ House companion bill (HR.65) would abolish the Federal Aviation Administration’s Age 60 Rule and replace it with a rational plan that ties the commercial pilot retirement age with the Social Security retirement age.
The United States is one of only two countries in the Joint Aviation Authorities that requires their commercial pilots to retire at the age of 60.

Inhofe, the right-wing Oklahoma Republican who chairs the Senate Environment Committee, is the favorite pet of corporate polluters whose industrial emissions are cited by scientists as the leading cause of global warming.
So far, Inhofe has been able to ignore science, but—what, ho!—now he finds himself confronted by a formidable and surprising new force: evangelical Christians.
Sticking with his corporate sponsors, Inhofe calls the claim that Christians should work to stop activities harmful to God's creation "something very strange," and he dismisses the evangelical's Biblical citations for their work, saying: "You can always find in Scriptures a passage to misquote for almost anything."
