James Sherman "Jimmy" Wynn (born March 12, 1942 in Hamilton, Ohio), nicknamed "The Toy Cannon", is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and Milwaukee Brewers.
His number 24 was retired by the Astros on June 25, 2005, when the Astros played the Texas Rangers.
Jason Lane, who garnered Wynn's 24 before the ceremony, changed his number to 16 as a result.

Wynn never had much of an arm -- he was originally an infielder, and his throws always had that kind of good-enough-for-the-infield-but-not-the-outfield quality to them -- but in late '74 he was nursing a bad shoulder as well.
