Talk:Jin Dynasty (265-420) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
IMO (265-420) shows the duration of the 晉 dynasty, which cannot be confused by the 金 founded in the 12th century.
Several Jin dynasty related articles have named the dynasty as "first" Jin and the one founded by the Jurchen as the second.
I think First and Second Jin Dynasty are better (though I'm not sure these names are really in use).

 Encyclopedia: Jin Dynasty (1115 1234)
In 1214 the Jin Dynasty moved its capital to Kaifeng (the old Song capital) to evade the Mongols; but under the forces of the Mongol Empire led by Ögedei Khan, third son of Genghis Khan, as well as their allies in the Southern Song Dynasty, the dynasty crumbled in 1234.
The Jin Dynasty (金 pinyin: Jīn 1115-1234; Anchu in Jurchen), also known as the Jurchen dynasty, was founded by the Wanyan (完顏 Wányán) clan of the Jurchen, the ancestors of the Manchus who established the Qing Dynasty some 500 years later.
Later Jin was renamed the Qing Dynasty in 1636, and went on to conquer China proper and become the last dynasty of Imperial China.

The Jin Dynasty - founded by Sima Yan 司馬炎 and named after an old state of the Warring States Period 戰國 - is divided into two parts called Western Jin (Xijin 西晉) and Eastern Jin (Dongjin 東晉), names that follow the traditional division of Han in Western 西漢 and Eastern Han 東漢.
But unlike the Han Dynasty that was simply continued after a short interlude of the usurper Wang Mang 王莽, the shift of the capital from Luoyang to Jiankang 建康 (modern Nanjing 南京/Jiangsu) reflects a process that destroyed the whole political, social and economic system of north China.
The Eastern Jin was the first of a couple of dynasties (Southern Dynasties 南朝) that developed a culture different from that of northern China.

Chinese traditional musical instruments: pipa and guzheng
In the Western Jin Dynasty (256-316), the qin-pipa was named after the famous scholar, Ruan Xian, who was a virtuoso in such an instrument.
Since the mid Tang Dynasty, and particularly since the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the instrument has been gradually developed into the present form of a lute played with fingernails while the techniques with the plectrum were totally abandoned.
During the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1645-1911) Dynasties, various pipa schools with different styles were flourishing in the South, centered in Wuxi, Suzhou and Shanghai, and the North, centered in Beijing.
