Joan Weber (December 12, 1936-May 13, 1981) was an American popular singer.
At the age of 18, she was introduced to Eddie Joy, a manager, who in turn introduced her to Charles Randolph Grean, an artists and repertory (AandR) worker for RCA and Dot Records in New York City.
The song was performed on the television show "Studio One"" and caught the public's fancy, reaching #1 in the United States and #16 in the United Kingdom in 1955.

Police officers did not test many pieces of evidence at the home that could have pointed to the killer's identity and failed to keep detailed reports on interviews with witnesses, she said.
Weber said she also was bothered that charges were filed based on questionable fingerprint evidence: Two experts testified that two prints found at the home have not been identified.
