  Joanna Kerns
Joanna was occasionally allowed to show some skin on the show, appearing in tight pajamas, short and low cut nightgowns, and sexy exercise gear.
What was odd about this TV movie was that Joanna actually had a nude scene in the film, which was cut out of the TV airing, but was put back in in the video release.
While the greatest view is of her bare butt, there are also a few frames in which you can spot pubic hair, and in a later scene, a slight nipple slip allows the first public viewing of her nipples.

Joanna Kerns began her career as a dancer and gymnast and turned to acting after realizing that a chorine's career is short and if she wanted to be in show business, she had better learn how to act.
Kerns then moved to New York where she studied acting with Lee Strasberg and was cast in several small parts in the Broadway production of "Ulysses in Nighttown" (1974).
Kerns often was involved in the development and production of these projects and, with a writing partner, occasionally wrote teleplays, including a 1989 episode of "Growing Pains" that was one of the highest-rated of the season.

On the heels of minor roles in such films as Ape (1976) and Coma (1978), roles in Magnum, P.I. The A-Team, and Hill Street Blues made Kerns a familiar face to television viewers, and by the time she accepted the role of loving mother Maggie Seaver, Kerns had also turned heads in Hunter and V.
Balancing out her seven-year run on Growing Pains with numerous made-for-television feature roles, Kerns ultimately realized that her small-screen fame would inevitably be short-lived, and that realization eventually led her to step behind the camera as a frequent director for the series.
Kerns' frequent recognition of her Spanish roots has also made her something of a role model to Chicano and Latino youth.

In 1985, Kerns landed her biggest television role as Maggie Seaver on the family sitcom "Growing Pains." She starred in the show for seven years, but also found time to write and direct an episode of the series.
