One of these links was talking about Poletti, that this person's claim to be Jobriath's #1 fan and that he alone was responsible for releasing any recorded tunes of Jobriath was unsubstantiated.
I believe that at the time of Jobriath's death, he was living in a small room in NYC high up and next to a billboard, with no utilities at all.
Jobriath actually was in a sort of folkie band in the late 60s before he became Jobriath, they put one album out I think, but I can't remember the name.

Jobriath was born Bruce Cambell in 1946, and by the mid 60s had changed his name to Jobriath Salisbury and was performing in the successful Broadway hit, Hair as Woof.
Jobriath was openly gay and Brandt attempted to use this as a marketing ploy.
However before this could happen Electra (the label Brandt had signed Jobriath to) pulled the plug on the funding (they'd always been embarassed to have a gay performer in their books and were happier to ruin his career than have a success such were the feelings against gays 30 years ago in some quarters).
