In the evening air of the final purple-hued moon of the season, the formerly undefeated Danva was humbled in teräs käsi combat by new Palawa Band champion Phow Ji.
"Joclad's failure is just further proof that this ‘force' is nothing more than a myth perpetuated as an excuse to retain power," said Ji (19-0), the home-planet favorite.
Earlier, Danva and Ji defeated quarter final and semi-final opponents with relative ease.

Includes a sports article on the Teräs Käsi tournament in Aslaja, Bunduki, wherein tournament fighter Phow Ji defeats Teräs Käsi fighter and Jedi Knight Joclad Danva, and kills another tournament fighter, Dux Pike, father of Zan and Zu.
For example, Joclad Danva (HNN) was both a Jedi Knight and Teräs Käsi tournament fighter who was defeated by Phow Ji in the Bunduki Teräs Käsi tournaments.
Joclad implied he did not use the Force as his training as a Jedi taught him, but limited himself to using only his training in teräs käsi.

Phow Ji's name became legendary when he won the whole tournament, but not because he became the grand champion.
His notoriety came when he defeated the Jedi Knight Joclad Danva in a fight that lasted 47 minutes, ending with a rancor-rising, aryx-slash, nexu-grin combination.
No one had ever seen a mere mortal beat a Jedi Knight before, and he became an instant celebrity.

Hey Nitrog, as soon as I read your post I remembered the official site had this same question.
Although they say Joclad Danva survived he was seen laying on the battlefield and then standing then laying down again and staying in that position when the Gunships arrived.
They also made mention of this on the dvd, I think it was part of the weblink with all the comments below.

While I have not sifted through the entire backlog of webcam images (see below), on June 18th from about 12:40:00 to 12:55:00 the webcam was showing some great shots of Nick Gillard, Hayden Christensen, and some other stunt guys practicing lightsaber fights.
The sparring might not be of particular interest, but the lightsaber prop one of the performers was using is. I think it was Kyle Rowling, the guy who played Jedi Knight Joclad Danva at the battle of Geonosis, who was using a double-bladed lightsaber stick.
The prop was like the one Ray Park was using when he was sparring with Ewan McGregor in one of the special features on the EPISODE I DVD.

They all made it to the final circle in AOTC although Danva is dead in some shots and alive in others.
