Joe was in the same seat in front of the stone fireplace at the Oak Creek Tavern (now known as the Cowboy Bar) forty years later to the day when the CAA celebrated their 40th anniversary on June 23, 2005.

A long time resident of the Town, he retired to Be-Nun-I-Kin, the name he gave to his hilltop home in Paradise Valley, after serving in the U.S. Senate for three decades.
In response to many requests, renowned western artist Joe Beeler has agreed to make available to discerning collectors a limited edition of 50 signed and numbered bronze maquettes of Senator Goldwater.
On February 14, 2004 the one and one-half times life-size statue will be unveiled as a heroic bronze and will be the centerpiece of the Goldwater Memorial.
