Adam & Joe's first natural habitat was Channel 4 and, more precisely, a young man's bedroom replete with far too many Star Wars figures, cuddly toys and the like.
The brushed aluminium set could be from any cheap filler show on BBC3 ('pure24', 'celebdaq', 'liquidnews') and suddenly Adam and Joe's false conviviality doesn't look like two TV pros pretending to be amateurs floundering about in a studio but like two TV pros floundering about.
This could be a very entertaining satire on our one sleb-obsessed culture, highlighting the parallels and how people with nothing but the desire to become famous are facilitated by a load of backroom people taking their cut.

For those of you (probably mainly in the UK) who have purchased Joe Cornish's "First Light" book and know something about the different techniques used to print transparencies (I have experience with Ciba's and lightjet but that's it), could you tell me the print method that was used for the images in this book?

Turning over each page is a revelation giving, on the right hand page, a beautiful landscape, beautifully printed, with on the left hand side a description of the place, the circumstances and a small photo and description of a similar shot that didn't quite come up to expectations.
The thought that these landscape photos were made (joe doesn't use the word take or taken) in exotic places was shattered for me when a cracking, glowing cliff turned out to be approx 50 miles from my house.
The book is a total learning experience, photographically as well as spiritually, and ranks amongst the best in its genre.

On the downside, the set isn't up to much but then again this was just a pilot after all.
However, jolly Joe Cornish breezed through the show and wasn't afraid to ask contestants about any tactical opportunities they had missed.
