Elliot, a retired newspaper photographer who had already completed Peter Jenkins' basic course and Tim Kovar's rigging course (including his first night aloft in a tree boat), managed to reach the 100-foot mark in both of the famous Cornbread Creek trees.
Elliot, who was also working on a feature article about treeclimbing for his former newspaper editors in Taiwan, was up before dawn Saturday and had his Nikon camera ready to catch late sleepers when they exited their tree boats and other platforms.
Joe said the pine was climbable for another 10-15 feet, but he did not go all the way to the top due to strong afternoon winds through the creek valley.

Elliot's reduced income and his belief that he possesses one of the world's smaller penises are only two items on his endless mental checklist of the qualities that characterize him as a loser.

FUNNY Def Leppard article (LONG!) - 80sxchange.com
After reading the official complaint lodged against Def Leppard and their lead singer Joe Elliot, as well as listening to the evidence, namely Def Leppard’s new CD titled “X” it became clear that both Adams and Bolton had a reason to suspect that they had been ripped off.
That music was meant for my comeback album and Joe Elliot stole it!” I later discovered that a “mullet” was a style of haircut popular mostly in the southern United States; they are most commonly spotted among 20-something men behind the wheel of 70’s era Camaro’s and Trans Am’s.
But Elliot’s story of losing his individual balls at separate times also had merit, when you listen to how wimpy Def Leppard’s new album is, even compared to their last few “pop” albums, the loss of his remaining ball would explain the recent change.

And throughout it all, Mutt Lange has the band sounding like a well-oiled machine; the guitars are seamlessley in-sync, Joe Elliot is driving the material hard with his newfound range and power, and Rick Allen keeps it all together with simple beats augmented by subtle drum fills and timing changes.
A painful guitar melody circles overhead while Joe Elliot pours out some serious emotion into his singing, and when the vocal and guitar overdubs join in for a hard-hitting chorus, the result was an unmistakeable classic-in-the-making.
