Charles Edward Greene, known as "Mean Joe" Greene (born September 24, 1946 in Temple, Texas), was an American football Defensive Tackle in the NFL.
Greene was twice named NFL Defensive Player of the Year(1972, 1974), played in 10 Pro Bowls, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.
Greene has also appeared in commercials, the most famous of which is the one in which a child gives him a Coke, prompting "Mean" Joe to smile and give him his game jersey.
