Joe Primeau (born January 29, 1906 - died May 14, 1989 in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada), was a professional ice hockey player.
Primeau was known for playing on the Leafs' "Kid Line" with Charlie Conacher and Busher Jackson.
Joe Primeau was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963.

The 1929-30 season was Joe's first complete NHL season with the Leafs and it proved to be a good one, and it was the first season that Primeau's play making ability would shine through.
Primeau led the league in assists in 1930-31 with 32, and later repeated the feat in 1931-32 and 1933-34 with 37 and 32 respectively.
Joe again finished second in the scoring race in 1933-34 with 46 points, this time 6 points behind his other line mate, Charlie Conacher who finished the season with 52 points.

Primeau won the Lady Byng Trophy in 1932 and was named to the 1934 NHL All Star team.
Primeau won the Memorial Cup while coach of the Toronto St. Michael’s Juniors, the senior men’s Allan Cup while with the Toronto Marlboroughs and the Stanley Cup as coach of the Leafs in 1951.
Primeau is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.

Primeau was the center on Toronto's "Kid Line," between Harvey "Busher" Jackson and Charlie Conacher, during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
In 1931-32, Jackson led the NHL in scoring, Primeau was just three points behind him, and Conacher was 2 points behind Primeau.
After coaching the Toronto St. Michael's Juniors and to the Memorial Cup and the Toronto Marlboroughs to the Allan Cup, Primeau became the Toronto coach in 1950-51 and guided them to the Stanley Cup championship.

A member of the Toronto Marlboros Memorial Cup-winning team of 1928-29, Charlie Conacher entered the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs the following season.
Playing on the famed Kid Line with Busher Jackson and Joe Primeau, Conacher quickly developed into the NHL's best right winger.
He helped the Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup in 1932, and he led or tied for the NHL lead in goal-scoring five times between 1930-31 and 1935-36.
