  Comic Book Resources - CBR News: A Report on "The Colbert Report" with Joe Quesada
While Marvel's Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada said in an earlier interview with CBR that he had quite a few butterflies before going on "The Colbert Report" last night, you couldn't tell he was nervous at all based on his appearance.
Joe Quesada was Stephen Colbert's guest on "The Colbert Report" Thursday evening and handled himself with grace as an ambassador for comics.
As the "Report" went to commercial, a mock comic cover drawn by Quesada of "The Rampaging Colbert" in a most hulk-like form was flashed on the screen, with Colbert holding an American flag that's impaled a bear.

Quesada became editor-in-chief at the same time as Bill Jemas became president, but when Bill Jemas was fired, Quesada stayed on.

Joe truly doesn't have anything to do with the trade department, he is EIC of new comics, the trades are done by a seperate office.
With everything that Joe is responsible for that you say he is DDM, I'm surprised he has as much time as he has to even consider writing and drawing a comic, and i will even go so far as to applaud him for giving us DD:Father and NYX when he did.
Joe Quesada does since he is Editor-in-Chief (if the TPB editors miss the mistakes).
