		Johann Sebastian Bach (Eisenach 21 marzo 1685 - Lipsia 28 luglio, 1750) fu un compositore tedesco e organista del periodo barocco, universalmente considerato uno dei grandi della musica di tutti i tempi.
		Johann Sebastian Bach nacque a Eisenach, in Germania, nel 1685.
		Suo padre, Johann Ambrosius Bach, figlio di Christoph Bach, ricopriva in quella città la carica di musicista di corte, ruolo che comportava l'organizzazione della musica a carattere profano nella città, ma anche la supervisione dell'attività musicale nella chiesa locale, inclusa la direzione dell'organista di chiesa.

	Johann Sebastian Bach [encyclopedia]
		Johann Sebastian Bach (March 21, 1685 - July 28, 1750) was a German organist, composer, and musical scholar of the Baroque period.
		According to one popular legend of the young composer's curiosity, late one night, when the house was asleep, he retrieved a manuscript from his brother's music cabinet and began to copy it by the moonlight.
		This went on nightly until Johann Christoph heard the young Sebastian playing some of the distinctive tunes from his private library, at which point the elder brother demanded to know how Sebastian had come to learn them.
