		By portraying battle as an evil god of destruction borne in and of itself, he fails to acknowledge the inhuman acts of cruelty and aggression that in fact precipitate warfare.
		John Keegan, although he has never been in a battle himself, is a fantastic historian, and takes the reader into three very different battles in three very different time periods, all on a very small amount of land.
