Bonetti: Your father, like Lucy's, was a cabinet maker, and your own mother married a much older man with whom she had three sons several years after you were born.
Bonetti: It is interesting that a story your mother told about herself as a girl--walking home with a bunch of green figs on her head in which a snake is hiding--becomes a parable that the mother tells the daughter in Annie John, to try to induce her to confess.
Bonetti: You've talked about your mother and the stories that she tells as being a part of what makes you a writer now, and yet you've also commented that it would never occur to people like her to step back from their experience and create a work of art.

Bonetti has won three bracelets with a fast, aggressive style that tends to get him to fewer final tables than players of equal talent (not that there are many of those), but with a lot of chips when he does get there, and John started today just off Bobby Kirkwood’s lead.
Bonetti got the better of most of the exchanges and extended his chip lead, but Sohayegh finally ended the rush when Bonetti couldn’t bring home his nut-low, nut-flush draw when the 7c-Qd-10h-6c board finished with the jack of hearts.
Bonetti survived several short situations, including one dual all-in where he verified that he had started the hand with more chips than Kirkwood, in case they both went out on the hand (which would have meant third place for Bonetti and fourth for Kirkwood), but each of them survived.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: The Salesian Society
The Salesian Society, founded by Saint John Bosco, takes its distinctive name from its patron, Saint Francis de Sales.
In the first half of the nineteenth century Italy had not recovered from the disastrous consequences of the false and atheistical philosophical teachings brought into the country at the time of the French Revolution.
The order obtains its support largely from the generosity of the Salesian co-operators, who, as a third order, contribute largely for this purpose, and to whom the "Salesian Bulletin" is sent monthly, to keep them informed on the progress of the work in distant lands, and to urge them to greater generosity.
