John Caudwell, 49 is renowned for an expensive lifestyle that includes a four seater helicopter, twin-engined jet, £1m schooner, £250,000 Bentley Azure and three of the fastest road legal motorbikes in the UK.
Mr Caudwell accused her of tricking him into having unprotected sex and being a golddigger in the interview, which his spokesman said was accurate but taken out of context.

Comment: John Caudwell, self-made millionaire from central casting, is definitely one of the UK mobile industry's "characters" - indeed, last February he reportedly hired the PR firm Brazen to make sure he stays that way.
Caudwell did just that two years ago with the service-provider subsidiary SinglePoint, which was sold to Vodafone for around £400m.

Caudwell has a reputation for ruthlessness, and having sacked Anthony Catterson, the managing director of Phones 4u only two years after his division won the outstanding performance at the Caudwell Group Awards (somehow one suspects those e-mails might have something to do with it), the reputation seems understandable.
