Ryle, J.C. Ryle, J.C. John Charles Ryle, the eldest son of John (a wealthy banker) and Susanna Ryle, was born on the 16 May 1816, at Macclesfield, near Manchester.
John Ryle was married three times; he married his first wife Matilda Charlotte Pemberton who he married on the 29 October 1845, with whom he had one daughter.

Ryle’s “Expository Thoughts” were first issued in 1856 and met with such a warm welcome from evangelical Christians of all denominations that they were reprinted in 1887 and again in 1896 and 1956, and a Banner of Truth paperback version in 1987, which is still available today.

While searching unsuccessfully for the name of the housemaid (as stated in 'Burke's Landed Gentry') who married Joshua Ryle,b.3rd Sept 1873, uncle to John Charles Ryle,1st Bishop of Liverpool, I skimmed through Memoirs of H.E.Ryle by Maurice Fitgerald which you mentioned.
There are a number of books,letters and articles about John Charles Ryle and his family.
My family are supposed to be related to the famous Ryles but so far I have been unable to establish a link.
