Born in southern Italy, John Cutruzzola has always had expressed interest towards the arts and his community.
Beginning in the late '60s, John successfully endeavored to convince the people of Yorkville to change their area into the place of cultural renown within Toronto.
In 1972, John and his family moved to Huttonville[?], four years later he formed Inzola Construction[?], which has since expanded to a branch office in Calgary.

The fight-- a tongue-in-cheek reenactment of the assassination of Julius Cesaer by the performers of Rapier Wit-- was all part of the Roman-themed entertainment at the 17th annual Mayor's Luncheon for the Arts, which welcomed more than 460 guests.
Singer, painter and former Business Person of the Year John Cutruzzola was recognized as Arts Person of the Year for 2004, for his volunteerism in the arts community.
Cutruzzola is an active supporter of the Peel Heritage Complex, Heritage Theatre, Brampton Art Council, Brampton Symphony, Beaux Arts Brampton, Brampton Jazz Festival, Visual Arts Brampton and Salvation Army Family Resource Centre, among others.

David Bloom, a Brampton singer, dancer and actor, died in April 2001 at the age of 19 after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.
Following the concert, at approximately 9:30 p.m., guests will be chauffeured in one of five hired buses for the trip from the Heritage Theatre to the Art Gallery, for the unveiling of 20 of Cutruzzola's new paintings and a wine and cheese reception.
In previous years, Cutruzzola has donated the proceeds from the event, nearly $12,000 to the Brampton Hospital.
