We got stranded in John Day due to an ice storm and we called the nice folks at Dreamer's Lodge and told them there were 6 of us and low and behold - they had a room for us.
It was very clean, very comfortable, and in spite of the fact that they were having heating difficulties it was warm since they so kindly shared their space heater with us.
