Reviews for John Taglieri - SoundClick Music
John has done a nice debut album that I recommend to all of you that enjoys little softer AOR with acoustic approach mixed with couple rockers.
John Taglieri looks a bit like John Elefante and also musically there are a couple of comparisons with him, although John Taglieri is better at times and much more AOR rock based than the calmer stuff of John Elefante.
John Taglieri, the band visionary, recently made a surprise appearance on the top-rated WPLJ morning show, where his new solo album of original material, titled Leap of Faith, was premiered.

Elefante is not a bad singer, but he is not really suited to this style of hard rock/progressive music; his voice is much too poppy.

It seems that John struggled through bad production in previous attempts and never had the formula to produce a "defying gravity" before or after.
The highlight of the album to me would be the 3rd Cut, "the stream", if John Elefante ever fell into a perfect song for his voice and instrument box this would be it.
As artists in general struggle to find themselves, occasionally a great album comes out, examples of this are without number, as are the hopeless albums they produced before and after their moments of grandeur.

Between Dino's productions-he has produced records for major CC artists, including Petra, Carmen and Nikki Leonti-and John Elefante's success as an artist in the growing genre, a significant percentage of the studio's initial revenues came from that sector, which was experiencing growth even as country music, the staple of Nashville's studio community, was dwindling.
Dino Elefante says several major Nashville producers, including Mike Clute, Brown Bannister and Michael Omartian, have been guaranteed availability at the facility regardless of when they book, which also helps alleviate the sting of the growing number of producers who build their own studios.
Dino Elefante is aware that the facility's rapid success has engendered some envy on Music Row, where many studios continue to struggle with country music's changing fortunes.
