+John Gladwin on issues of human sexuality
Gladwin reportedly responded by saying that it was his right to express his opinion and that he wanted to give space to those who were anxious about such matters.
In the letter, Bess said he had learnt that Gladwin was signatory to a letter which expressed full sacramental fellowship with the churches in Canada and the United States and a desire to remain in full communion with them.
Attempts to reach Gladwin were unsuccessful but the Sunday Express was able to speak to his assistant, Chaplain Chris Newlands, who said that they were still pursuing dialogue with Bess in an attempt to resolve the matter.

Gladwin and Wincott founded the group as a duo following the breakup of the band Methuselah, of which both had been members.
Their first album was a collection of soft acoustic rock numbers that included one medieval-styled song that seemed to go over better than anything else, and that was the direction they aimed for in their future releases.
Gladwin left soon after its release, however, and the Amazing Blondel were reduced to a duo for their follow-up, Blondel (1973).

Thinking Anglicans: BBC interviews Bishop Gladwin
I guess that Bishop Gladwin sounds like - to me - he is in a bit of a coming out process himself.
That is to say, he sounds like he is just starting to take a more public stand, buffeted by media whirlwinds perhaps, about being able to separate out noticing Anglican differences from being able to effectively cooperate in some service or other sort of shared project.
The other background witness which I think could conceivably become quite important is Bishop Gladwin's valorization of how able the average lay believer really is, even in Kenya where the African bishop/archbishop thing is supposed to trump all else.

The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Revd John Gladwin, is one of four new patrons announced for the campaign group ‘Changing Attitude’, which aims at ‘full inclusion’ of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-sexual people in the Church of England.
A few years ago, the Bishop of Bradwell, an episcopal Area with the Diocese of Chelmsford, resigned as a patron of Changing Attitude after it was pointed out to him that it was a campaigning rather than, as he had argued, an educational group.
The decision by Bishop Gladwin to become a patron at this point in time is thus all the more surprising.
