John Cornyn III (born February 2, 1952) is the junior United States Senator from Texas.
They emphasize that although Cornyn did not cosponsor this particular resolution, he also did not oppose it; the resolution was approved by unanimous consent, meaning that no senator, including Cornyn, raised an objection to its passage.
In September 2005, during the John Roberts confirmation hearings, Cornyn attacked the Supreme Court decision in Lawrence vs. Texas, which overturned state sodomy laws.

One of the more notable burials at Sitka is John Green Brady, governor of the Territory of Alaska from 1897 to 1906.
Brady had come to Sitka as a Presbyterian missionary and later became commissioner and registrar of the Land Office, where he served until the president appointed him governor.

One which is celebrated is that of John Green Brady who was born in 1848 in New York City.
John ran away from home at the age of seven and roamed the city streets until he was picked up by the police and put in a refuge for homeless boys on Randall’s Island.
Governor Brady died in 1918 and is buried in the National Cemetery in Sitka, Alaska.

Our teams ran very well, with our A seniors team coming 26th out of 54 and our A vets 8th.  Theresa Brady was 10th fastest vet overall, while Chrissie Wellington, fresh back from South Africa, ran the fastest Serpie leg of the day.
In addition to it being  Barbara's first cross country outing we were pleased to welcome Jane Bailey,  although as an ex-rugby player she found the lack of mud a bit of a surprise.
