Hospers says that the Democrats will use "any possible means to suppress opposing viewpoints." This is a sweeping generalization; both the Democrats and the Republicans have frequently opposed free speech, and the so-called "campaign reform" bill sponsored by McCain and Feingold is a bipartisan law designed to suppress independent criticism of political candidates.
Hospers claims, without citing a source, that Kerry "has been quoted as saying that it is honorable for those in the U.S. military to die under the flag of the U.N. but not that of the U.S." The closest to such a quote that I can find with a Google search is this:
Hospers correctly writes that "it is Islamic fundamentalism that increasingly threatens the world," but Saddam Hussein isn't an Islamic fundamentalist, just a thug who sometimes made alliances of convenience with such people.

 Language and Representation
Hospers criticises this view as mistakenly imagining that there is a "real" or "true" meaning to a word which we have to discover.
Hospers often shows that words could have many meanings, for example the term "solid" could be defined in a scientific way, so as to say "nothing is solid" but he then argues against this by saying such a definition would not be practical.
Hospers problem lay in seeking to give an individual explanation to language, and having found the "simple individual origin" to preceed from this to construct his whole theory of language.

John Hospers’ “Argument Against Skepticism” provides several requirements and conditions for “knowing”: propositions must be true, must be believed to be true and evidence must be available in support of the propositions.
The question of evidence remains controversial for the most part as Hospers and critics submit that the degree of evidence must be good enough for those to believe it.
Hospers’ arguments differ from that of Descartes and also a great deal from the hypotheses presented by the skeptics; Descartes with the concept that knowledge itself proves existence and the skeptics presenting that nothing is known for certain.
