John Ingle (born May 7, 1928, Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an actor best known for his role as evil patriarch Edward Quartermaine on the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital.
Ingle took over the role of Edward and popularly starred from 1993 to December 2003, when the show dropped him from contract to recurring status.
Ingle returned to the role of Edward in 2006, but this time without his onscreen wife, actress Anna Lee, who died in 2004.
