		John Ono Lennon, MBE, (born John Winston Lennon October 9, 1940 – December 8, 1980) was an iconic English 20th century composer and singer of popular music, best known as the founding member of The Beatles, in which he and Paul McCartney formed the massively successful songwriting partnership Lennon-McCartney throughout the 1960s and early 1970s.
		Lennon would steadily grow to hate the conformity of art school, which proved to be little different from his earlier school experience, and he ultimately dropped out.
		Lennon returned his M.B.E. with the quote that he was returning it because of the war in Vietnam and "because 'Cold Turkey' is slipping down the charts".

		John Lennon Anthology is a box set of home demos, alternative studio outtakes and other unreleased material recorded by John Lennon over the course of his solo career from "Give Peace A Chance" in 1969 up until the 1980 sessions for Double Fantasy and Milk And Honey.
		The anthology was divided by its compiler and co-producer, Yoko Ono, into four discs representing four eras in Lennon's career: "Ascot"; "New York City"; "The Lost Weekend" and "Dakota".
		John Lennon Anthology reached #62 in the UK and #99 in the US, where it went gold.

		John Lennon's music after the Beatles was not as commercially appealing, and therfore not as widly played, and I think that to appreciate it fully an aquired taste needs to be developed.
		John Lennon was never one for overdone production, and the anthology gives us John the way he wanted it- raw, soulful and sometimes downright angry, yet also tender, loving and reflective.

		Merlin Studios used CEDAR to restore material included on the recently released CD box set: "The John Lennon Anthology".
		Some of the material for the "Anthology" was supplied by Yoko Ono, and originally came from a collection of homemade cassette tapes that Lennon had used to capture ideas.
		Because these were less than ideal sources, Producer/Engineer Rob Stevens used CEDAR's DCX declicker, CRX decrackler, and the DHX dehisser to remove a wide range of noises from the tapes.
