JOHN Leslie, the television presenter, could face ten years in prison after he was formally charged with two counts of indecent assault.

The presenter, who was born in Edinburgh, is alleged to have attacked the woman, whose identity is protected by the law, twice between 25 May and 28 May, 1997.

John Leslie may have cleared his name through "due legal process", but his reputation remains tarnished by the unusually graphic pictures of drug-taking obtained by the News of the World in the weeks after the allegations of sexual assault were made.
