John Alexander Melvin Hemming (born 16 March 1960) is a British politician, the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Yardley and Group Chair of the Liberal Democrats on the city council of Birmingham, England.
Hemming was appointed to the position of Chair of the Birmingham Strategic Partnership and is an elected councillor for South Yardley Ward.
He has a long-standing interest in the region and its ancient identity as Mercia, having as a student being elected to represent Oxford Students at the NUS conference as a Mercian Nationalist [3], and in 1997 set up his own record company, Music Mercia International [4].

John William Warner (born February 18, 1927) is an American statesman and politician, who served as Secretary of the Navy from 1972-1974 and has served as a Republican senator from Virginia since 1979.
In February 1969, he was appointed Under Secretary of the Navy by the Nixon administration, then on May 4, 1972, succeeded John H. Chafee as Secretary of the Navy.
On May 23, 2005, Warner was one of fourteen moderate senators to forge a compromise on the Democrats' proposed use of the judicial filibuster, thus blocking the Republican leadership's attempt to implement the so-called "nuclear option".
