Quentin Davies held the seat with a majority of 13,991 and has remained a MP since.

I served under Margaret Thatcher as a PPS [Parliamentary Private Secretary] and under William Hague and Iain Duncan-Smith in a series of roles on the front bench and in the Shadow Cabinet.
He is a One Nation Tory, believing that politics should always be sympathetic and humane and never dogmatic, and that the Tory Party must always have at heart the interests of all the people, most especially those who most need the help and support of their fellow citizens.
Quentin Davies has been the Member of Parliament for the Grantham and Stamford constituency, which includes Bourne, since 1997 (and for Stamford and Spalding before that).

But even so it is a good and interesting (made for tv) movie, that tells the story of the extraordinary and courageous life of Quentin Crisp, especially since he decided to not desguise his homosexuality, using it as a weapon instead of a weakness.
This is a not to be missed for all Quentin Crisp fans, and an invalueable document in the history of gay visibility in 20th century England.
