Ginger Rogers was born Virginia Katherine McMath in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Eddins McMath, of Scottish ancestry and Lela Owens McMath, of Welsh ancestry.
The Kennedy Center honored Ginger Rogers in December 1992, an event which was marred by a request from the Astaire estate, with which CBS felt obliged to comply: to remove all clips of Astaire dancing with Rogers from the broadcast.
Ginger Rogers died on April 25, 1995, of congestive heart failure, at the age of 83, in Rancho Mirage, California, and was interred in the Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Chatsworth, California.

One of the producers for the film has an online journal where he occasionally posts about his projects, one of which just happened to be the status of the Fatal Frame film.
Dreamworks recently confirmed that the film is on the fast-track and the script is being finalized, with a director being named shortly, and casting beginning soon after.
Rogers is reportedly thrilled to be on board with the project.

I've now found out that John Rogers is a stand-up comic and that comic timing is clearly evident in his screenwriting.
(Rogers' comedic talents were also put to good use in the forthcoming, lighthearted biopic of Jesse James.) With its pungent wit, sarcastic yet appealing characters, and fantastical goings-on, Mage sometimes recalled Ghostbusters.
John Rogers will be writing the script for the movie.

It's no surprise that we here at the IESB are very excited about this film and have personally been covering this film project since it was only Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy as producers.
Spielberg is the head honcho producer and Dreamworks along with Paramount will be distributing the film and Michael Bay is on board as the director.
John Rogers, Roberto Orci, Tom DeSanto and Alex Kurtzman have all been involved with the writing thus far.

Hired to write the script after Kevin Smith had to drop out was a John Rogers and Matt Wagner had this to say about that "Everybody on the production end loved his material and the minute I read his stuff, I knew we'd found our guy.
Further tweaks are being made to the script and a hunt for a director is the next item on the agenda for the producers.

John Rogers, executive producer of The WB's upcoming SF spy series Global Frequency, told fans that the series will be a midseason replacement for the network, the Comics Continuum Web site reported.

To be honest, we somehow doubt that Bay would say anything negative about a film he is supervising, but judging by his enthusiasm for this project, I think we can at least expect him to try his best to deliver a very action packed blockbuster.
