Sanders does not understand passages such as Micah 5:2 (see Matt 2:6) or Psalm 22:18 (see John 19:24) to be affirmations of what would actually happen during the life of Christ.
When Dr. Sanders was questioned for around an hour about this class of texts, he acknowledged that they could not be read as affirming anything that could be said to be certainly true, only that what was affirmed was possible and thus uncertain, subject to libertarian freedom in the future.
Sanders' response to this specific criticism, however, is that when these prophecies were made, they were inerrantly inscripturated in that God perfectly knew the exact "probability that the conditional prophecy will come about" (God also "infallibly" knew the "possibilities").
