John Schuck was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of English professor Conrad John Schuck and his wife Mary Hamilton Schuck.
When Schuck was 18 months old, his family moved to Princeton, New Jersey where his father took a teaching position at a local prep school.
Schuck has never wandered to far from the stage, and his critically acclaimed performance as "Daddy Warbucks" in the Broadway production of Annie, would be a role that he would return to twenty years later in the 20th anniversary touring company of Annie.
