John Tesh (born July 9, 1952) is an American new age and contemporary Christian musician.
Tesh also served as a sportscaster for events such as the Tour de France bicycle race in from 1983 through 1986 and Olympic gymnastics in 1992 and 1996.
John Tesh's most memorable piece as a musician is, arguably, "Roundball Rock", the instrumental theme music for The NBA on NBC from 1990 to 2002.

After graduating North Carolina State University with a degree in music and communications, Tesh worked at a progression of television stations throughout the southeastern U.S., later graduating to the position of anchor at the CBS network's New York City affiliate.
In 1986, Tesh left CBS to host the syndicated Entertainment Tonight with co-anchor Mary Hart; while television remained his primary focus, he continued writing and performing music, and in 1988 issued his first album, Tour de France.
In 1991, Tesh won another pair of Emmys for his music for NBC Sports' coverage of the World Track and Field Championships; a year later, he formed his own label, GTS, and issued Romantic Christmas, his biggest hit to date.

I know that John Tesh is a pretty laid back guy, so I'm surprised that he would create music that would further exacerbate the emotional fragility of his fans.
These warm, moving, lushly orchestrated compositions for piano, backup band and orchestra are actually written by just about everyone but John Tesh (and I can't even be certain from the liner notes that he played the piano leads, but I'll assume for the sake of argument that he did).
Although the album is billed as John Tesh's, it is rather another John Tesh Project, continuing the theme of 2000's "Pure Orchestra." As a matter of fact, this album contains the entire contents of that album.
