John Wilbur July 17, 1774 – May 1, 1856 was a prominent American Quaker minister and religious thinker who was at the forefront of a controversy that led to "the second split" in the Religious Society of Friends in the United States.
Wilbur was born to Quaker parents in Hopkinton, Rhode Island.
Wilbur was recognized as an Elder in 1802 and acknowledged as a minister in 1812.

Folder 4-2 is a scrapbook of newspaper clippings about the illness and death of Chapman's wife on June 25, 1907, and telegrams the family received during her illness and at her death.

 Wilbur Post Office
The story is told that the name applied for was "Fairview", but since there was already a post office in the state with that name, the individual handling the application used part of the name of the person who had signed the application.
This was John Wilbur Grimm, a resident and school teacher, who also became the first Postmaster.
The Wilbur Post Office was officially closed on May 15, 1987.
