John Black, the father, born in 1807, was a cooper by trade, and followed that trade for several years in Langhorne, where he purchased a home in 1830 He also assisted in building a number of the older buildings in that vicinity.
She is a granddaughter of John and Ann (Eastburn) Maule, the latter being a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Duer) Eastburn, and a sister to Aaron Eastburn, the grandfather of this subject of this sketch.
Wildman was united in marriage November 19, 1890, to Josephine Schenck, of St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Peter Voorhees and Anna (McCune) Schenck, the former named having been a graduate of Princeton College, and for many years a physician of celebrity and great skill in the city of St. Louis.

This is an appeal by Shawna L. Wildman, the daughter of Allan Wildman, deceased, from orders in two cases relating to the distribution of proceeds from two life insurance policies issued on the life of the appellant's father, Allan Wildman.
On appeal, Shawna L. Wildman contends that the circuit court erred in ruling that the estate of Phyllis I. Wildman was entitled to the life insurance proceeds and claims that she, Shawna L. Wildman, is entitled to the proceeds.
Following the death of Allan Wildman, the Peoples Security Life Insurance Company instituted one of the proceedings now before the Court, a declaratory judgment action, in the Circuit Court of Randolph County to determine who was entitled to the proceeds of the insurance policy which it had issued on the life of Allan Wildman.

He founded a land bank which, according to contemporaries, was fairly successful and was united with that of John Briscoe in 1696.
His writings are interesting as expressing views much in advance of his time and very near akin to those of modern times on such important topics as value, rent and foreign trade.
On the 3ist of March he was obliged to sign an engagement to the council not to disturb the peace, and on the 26th of November 1661 he was arrested, together with John Wildman and James Harrington, and was imprisoned in the Tower till the 27th of July 1662, when he was released on bail.
