James Ritchie served in the 2nd Virginia Regiment in the Rev war, after the Revolutionary war he moved to Buncombe Co, NC where he lived for sometime, he was there in Buncombe Co, NC on the 1790 Census with wife Mary Polly (Keith) Ritchie and several children, later the family moved to Kentucky.
Alexander Crockett RITCHIE was born 1778 in Buncombe County, NC, s/o James and Mary Keith Ritchie, stayed in Perry County and married in 1804 Buncombe Co., NC to Susan Elizabeth "Betsie" GRIGSBY born 1782 in VA, the daughter of Benjamin GRIGSBY and Nancy COMBS.

Prince Edward Island joined July 1, 1873 (and, as part of the terms of union, was guaranteed a ferry link, a term which was deleted upon completion of the Confederation Bridge in 1997).

In August 1810, Governor William Henry Harrison of Indiana Territory dictated terms to confirm the acquisition of much of central Indiana from the Shawnee and Potawatomie in the Treaty of Fort Wayne, 1809.
William H. Harrison, commanding general of the district encompassing all from Ohio to Missouri and north, ordered the locally popular, former territorial governor-turned-brigadier general, Benjamin Howard to replace Cass in Michigan.
A strong body of Dakota and Ojibwe warriors were placed around the captured soldiers while the British examined and processed their captives, and to prevent the Winnebago from exacting revenge for the deaths of at least a half dozen of their men in June.

This was made by John Sprinkle, in the spring of 1803, near the present site of the town of Newburgh.
On the 13th of may, 1816, an election was held at the house of William Berry, in this township, for the purpose of choosing a delegate to the Constitutional Convention preparatory to the admission of Indiana into the Union as a State.
As early as 1815 the hand-mills had become quite numerous, and one of the earliest was kept by John Hale on the farm now owned by Frank McCool, near Chandler, in the northern part of the township.
