		In The Constant Gardener Le Carré offers a typically compelling account of a man on the run, chased by his "own" side (Intelligence and the Foreign Office) as well as by the bad guys (thugs working for a pharmaceutical company).
		The Constant Gardener is not, however, as taut as it could be, or as gripping.

	The definition of temperature(Gerald L. Hurst)
		The only relevancy of the Boltzman constant that I am amiliar with is in relating temperature to the translational kinetic energy of molecules in gases, i.e., T = 2E/(3k) and the Boltzmann distribution law.
		I'm sure John is usually right, but in the context of a definition of temperature in the post in question it would appear he was in fact simply wrong in the specific area to which I called attention (Boltzmann constant).
		John's definition was a humdinger, but hardly suitable for the vast majority of students learning to use science and mathematics as a map for the physical territory those students have trod but not understood to any degree.
