		Jon Gries (born June 17, 1957 in Glendale, California) is an American actor, writer and director.
		Gries also played a werewolf henchman in the horror/comedy sequel Fright Night II.
		He is a vegetarian and while he chewed pieces, he refused to swallow the steaks his character Uncle Rico eats in Napoleon Dynamite.

		Gries' performance as a literally whip-smart heavy in the 2003 action comedy The Rundown found him essaying a rare villainous role, but doing so with such malevolent gusto that even audiences with vivid memories of the brainy Lazlo may not have realized whom they were watching give The Rock such a sound thrashing.
