Jonah Goldberg attacked yours truly in a column recently.
Jonah Goldberg is a fearmonger, a warmonger, and a demagogue.
Goldberg is alarmed that I pointed this obvious fact out is that he wants to kill thousands of Iranians and thousands of US troops in a war of aggression on Iran.

Will Wilkinson / The Fly Bottle: Jonah Goldberg: Egalitarian -- Jonah
Jonah Goldberg: Egalitarian -- Jonah Goldberg sounds a dissonant egalitarian note in his reply to Nick Gillespie in the Tech Central Station debate.
Jonah's reasoning here is stunningly similar to the reasoning of leftist egalitarians who find that it is "selfish and myopic" for conservatives and libertarians to oppose "higher taxes or a few.
If Jonah is willing to admit the general principle that the state may legitmately coerce sacrifice for the sake of improving the prospects of others, then it seems that what divides him from his leftist brethren is merely a question of the best goods to be redistributed, and the means for doing the distribution.

Goldberg also makes an elementary error in arguing that the fact that people in Iran are disillusioned with Khatami now, in 2005, has any bearing on their attitudes in 1997 when they first elected him.
Goldberg's response was insulting to all the soldiers fighting in Iraq who have suffered economically and who are remote from their families.
Goldberg is a big proponent of "profiling," which is to say, spying on people because of their ethnicity rather than because of anything they as individuals have done wrong.

American Politics Journal -- Jonah Goldberg: Just Another Neocon Prostitute
Goldberg posits that "Plamegate" is going nowhere - but he's dead wrong, because what will happen at Scooter Libby's trial (if there is one, that is) will not be an examination of his stupidity at having lied repeatedly to the FBI and the Grand Jury, but rather a look at WHY he lied.
Goldberg and his despicable ilk are attempting to hide the tree with a forest.
Goldberg was absolutely right when he said that the war in Iraq "did not hinge on anything involving Wilson or Valerie Plame." And his pathetic attempt to claim that Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and the New York Times endorsed the war is almost laughable.

 Jonah Goldberg
Jonah Goldberg graduated from Goucher College in 1991, and was immediately given a seat on the college's board of trustees.
His mother is Lucianne Goldberg, a one-time advisor to the White House during the Democratic John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson administrations.
In 1998, nobody had ever heard of Jonah Goldberg, but his mother was a principle player behind the scenes in Bill Clinton's sex scandal.

Unclaimed Territory - by Glenn Greenwald: Jonah Goldberg speaks out against demonization tactics
Replacing conveniently manufactured myths with surprising and enlightening research, Jonah Goldberg shows that the original fascists were really on the Left and that liberals, from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Hillary Clinton, have advocated policies and principles remarkably similar to those of Hitler’s National Socialism.
And all of that leaves to the side the fact that Jonah is at the center of a political movement which has as its principal tactic the branding of its domestic political opponents (and even journalists) as subversive lunatics, friends of the terrorists, and traitors.
Jonah's next book "offers a startling new perspective" which shows that contemporary Democratic politicians are the offspring of the German Nazi Party and that Hitlerian fascism is alive and well in the form of American liberalism.

03/01/02 - Jonah Whales on VDARE.COM!- by Steve Sailer
Granted, Jonah's recommendation that America invade, conquer, colonize and civilize the entire continent of Africa (here's his call to arms and here's his lengthy defense of it) was easily the worst idea to be put forward in the conservative media in this decade.
Compared to Jonah's Bright Idea, Ann Coulter's impassioned 9-13-2001 eulogy for her murdered friend Barbara Olson, in which she famously called for America to invade and Christianize the Islamic world (and which ultimately led to Jonah firing her), sounded like the statecraft of Calvin Coolidge.
Echoing John, Jonah wrote in 2001 that genetics would be "the future of conservatism and where the excitement is going to be." But now, unfortunately, Jonah is acting as if those of us who are already there, where the intellectual excitement is, are not EvolCons - but EvilCons.

The Anonymous Liberal: Jonah Goldberg's Attempt to Rekindle the Media's Old Gore Narratives
Just this week, Jonah Goldberg did his best to keep these old narratives alive, writing perhaps the most inane and insubstantial column I have ever seen in a major newspaper.
Jonah then pointed to a passage from one of Gore's biographies which claims that Gore spent that summer working on the family farm and notes that he received C's in French class in high school.
Regarding Jonah, the phrase comes to mind, "who's more the fool, the fool himself or those who follow him?" The sorry fact that Jonah continues to write a column so consistently wrong minded is only surpassed by the fact that he has an audience.

Jonah Goldberg misquotes John Murtha, truncating his statement in a manner that substantially alters the meaning.
I hate to stick up for Goldberg, especially since he was too obtuse to notice this himself, but Murtha actually does repeat "we cannot win this" without a qualifier at the 3:10 mark in the interview.
Goldberg is still one of the most vapid narrative parrots in conservative circles.

 On Jonah Goldberg’s Youthful Phase
Goldberg’s breezy "golly" comment almost certainly refers to paleolibertarian Lew Rockwell and co, revealing his mischaracterization of libertarians to be disingenuous.
It is Goldberg who refuses to recognize reality, for example in his glib dismissal of the critique of the tyrant and war-criminal Lincoln and in his implicit assumption that aggression can be justified.
Goldberg’s implicit theory, that the natural evolution for intelligent, conservative minded individuals is a youthful radical libertarianism, followed by mature, compromising, unprincipled, inconsistent neo-conservatism, is surely wrong.

The Interminable Goldberg by Paul Gottfried
In his rambling column Goldberg browbeats certain bad guys for "not getting America." Before ending with the childish phrase, "Hopefully, we’ll teach it how to pass the same test," a reference to a new Iran that had received instruction in global democratic tenets, Goldberg sets out to explain when empires are not empires.
Having seen Jonah Goldberg’s references to me in his Blog scribbling (October 2) and having learned that my friends and writing do not enjoy his respect, it has dawned on me that there is no way that Goldberg and I can understand each other.
It is doubtful that Jonah could understand my theoretical tracts or those of Mansfield, i.e., whether he has the conceptual framework to grasp intricate arguments in political theory based on repeated references to pre-neocon thinkers.

UN Dispatch: Jonah Goldberg: Inventor of Facts
Writing in the Los Angeles Times on Sunday, Jonah Goldberg gnashes his teeth over the apparent failure of United States Ambassador to the UN John Bolton to win Senate confirmation.
Goldberg trots out the tired, and repeatedly disproven, claim that "most Americans think the UN is the problem." Polls consistently show otherwise: Americans overwhelmingly favor multilateral engagement with other countries through the United Nations.
However, if by a "wealth transfer scheme," Goldberg is referring to the way in which United Nations dues have always been assessed then he is sorely missing the point.

Jonah Goldberg, Bottom Feeder, by Justin Raimondo
Some 35 years later, their places have been usurped by Jonah Goldberg, Ramesh Ponnuru, and, worst of all, the faux-Kirkean pseudo-classicist "gentleman farmer," Victor Davis Hanson.
That Jonah Goldberg's facile punditry masks a truly nasty nature seems beyond dispute: after all, here is someone who made his reputation, such as it is, retailing sex tapes surreptitiously recorded, "leaking" a trail of slime that eventually slipped up a President.
Goldberg regularly freeloads off his "blogger" friends, cadging material without acknowledgement, and in this case he's stealing from one Damien Penny, a Canadian whose "blog" is a compendium of reasons to hate Arabs and love Israel.

Jonah Goldberg has lost his faith, not in God, but in what freedom can bring to a free Iraq and ultimately a more free Middle East.

Jonah's arguments are simply bought and paid for (gee, I must have been channelling Krugman, or maybe we are both simply right) to advance a particular politico/economic goal.
Jonah uses words like "history" and "indians" and even "prarie" or "fire" but to paraphrase others in the blogosphere in reference to the Princess Bride [those] words don't mean what you are supposed to think he means by them.
So very distantly, Goldberg is correctly summarizing several important arguments--that Native Americans were not uniformly or automatically deeply committed to spiritual or practical analogues of contemporary environmentalism, and that what some 19th Century Americans moving into the West took to be pristine, untouched wilderness environments were actually environments that were significantly altered by human presence.

The Abstract Factory: In which Jonah Goldberg performs feats that bend the laws of space and time
Goldberg's function is not to say things that are true, nor is his function to present a reasoned argument.
Goldberg's function is to spew forth some roughly grammatical stream of words that appear to reinforce conservatarian ideology, so that his readers can listen, nod, and feel vindicated in their beliefs.
Nevertheless, for Jonah and his ilk whose writing stinks to high heaven and whose mental arguing capability is worse, there is nothing there to attract an active and creative mind.
