Pullin plans to use the waveforms generated by the approximation he developed, along with real data from interferometric gravitational-wave detectors, to test schemes for detecting large gravitational waves produced by collisions between fl holes.
From 1988 to 1992 Pullin was an assistant professor of physics at the University of Cordoba in Argentina and in 1989 he was a visiting research associate at Syracuse University, becoming a research associate there in 1990.
Pullin was a research associate at the University of Utah from 1991 to 1993, when he joined the Penn State faculty as assistant professor.

Newswise — New Journal of Physics (http://www.njp.org), an open-access research journal covering all of physics, today publishes the third of its three celebratory focus issues in recognition of the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein’s annus mirabilis.
At the same time, at the forefront of theory, physicists pondering the nature of fundamental particles found themselves looking more and more at the nature of space and time.
“Perhaps most remarkable about the breakthroughs in physics that the young Albert Einstein introduced in the annus mirabilis of 1905 was the revision of our ideas of space and time themselves” comment Richard Price and Jorge Pullin.
