 Joseph Cordiano
The provincial election of 1995 saw Cordiano win by a comfortable margin -- the provincial swing was to the Progressive Conservative Party, but the PCs did not have enough support in Lawrence to seriously compete for the riding.

Although generally regarded as a competent economist and minister, Cordiano is not one of the leading figures in the McGuinty government, and it is considered unlikely that he will be promoted to a senior portfolio.
