Joseph Guillemot (October 1, 1899 – March 9, 1975) was a French athlete, winner of 5000 m at the 1920 Summer Olympics.
Born in Le Dorat, France, Joseph Guillemot's lungs were severely damaged by mustard gas, when he fought in World War I.
Joseph Guillemot, a pack a day cigarette smoker, died in Paris at the age of 75.

Joseph Guillemot beat Paavo Nurmi in the 5,000m in 1920 and, after finishing second to the Finn in the 10,000m three days later, was promptly sick on him.
Guillemot, who smoked a pack of cigarettes a day, was given a mysterious drink by his trainer before winning the 5,000m in Antwerp.
He came in 20 metres ahead of the legend Nurmi and the drink was later revealed to be a mixture of water, sugar and rum.
