Half a Loaf, but What a Half!
Joseph Matthias Hauer (1883-1959) was an innovative Austrian composer who lived in Vienna from 1915 to the end of his life.
In the last two decades of his life, Hauer produced hundreds of brief 12-tone pieces for various combinations of instruments (including a few for harpsichord), in order to illustrate what his system could do.
The harpsichord piece came to a close, in the (unintentionally?) humorous fashion often characteristic of Hauer, with an arpeggiated major diatonic chord ending on its leading note.

… I like Rutger Hauer, (when he is the good guy;) and futuristic/fantasy … rum and lava lamps and bead curtains :) I play the piano but love the cello.
