	Joseph McDowell (General) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Joseph McDowell (1758–1799) was an American lawyer, soldier, and statesman from Morganton, North Carolina.
		He was a general of the state's militia during the Revolutionary War, and later served in the U.S. Congress from 1793 to 1795.
		His cousin, Joseph McDowell also served in the congress.
